QLD: Syringe used in abduction, say police

BRISBANE, Dec 29 AAP - A man threatened a woman with a syringe and forced her to drive
several kilometres on Queensland's Gold Coast before stealing her car this morning, police
said.

The man approached the woman at outside some shops in Runaway Bay just before 10am (AEST)
and forced her to drive him to Labrador, a police spokesman said.

He then dropped the woman off before stealing her white panel van, registration number 890
CGI.

Police were searching the area for the car and the man described as between 25 and 30,
about 180cm tall, of proportionate build, with an olive complexion and a tattoo of a heart on
his left forearm.

He was last seen wearing mirrored sunglasses, a blue polo shirt and a black and red cap.
