Fed: Sciacca says unaware of slush fund

Federal Labor frontbencher CON SCIACCA expects Queensland's vote rigging inquiry to
investigate allegations a slush fund to pay for fraudulent Labor Party memberships was
run without his knowledge from his office.

Key Shepherdson Inquiry witness LEE BERMINGHAM alleges the slush fund, which operated
when Mr SCIACCA was a frontbencher in the Keating Government, was run by a prominent Victorian
ALP Right figure on Mr SCIACCA'S staff.

Mr SCIACCA's told ABC radio he was unaware of the alleged fund, but expects it will
be investigated by the Shepherdson inquiry.
