Vic: Escapees to face court today

Two Victorian prison escapees have spent the night back behind bars .. and will face
an Adelaide court today .. after three days on the run.

Convicted rapist TROY LOWE .. and fellow escapee GREGORY CAULFIELD .. will appear in
Adelaide Magistrates Court .. where Victoria Police will apply to have them extradited
to Melbourne.

The pair are facing an extra five years added to their jail terms .. after three days
on the run .. following a break out from a prison van with another inmate in Melbourne's
west.

The two men were arrested yesterday morning at Adelaide Railway Station after a local
tipped off police.

The third escapee was picked up by police within 90 minutes of his escape.



CAULFIELD was in custody awaiting sentence on theft .. assault and threat to kill charges.

LOWE was serving an unknown term for theft and burglary .. and was convicted for rape
in 1999 and had served five years for the offence.
