Orbitz Names Chris Orton Chief Marketing Officer

Orbitz Worldwide announced that it has named Chris Orton as the company's next chief marketing officer, effective immediately.
Orton joins Orbitz Worldwide from eBay where he served as senior director of Internet marketing. Prior to joining Orbitz, he was senior director of Internet marketing at eBay, responsible for the company's paid search, shopping comparison, search engine optimization, affiliates and display marketing channels. Orton also led an initiative to make eBay's Internet Marketing services available to third party clients. He joined eBay in 2003 after 8 years of CRM and ERP consulting at Kana Software, PriceWaterhouseCoopers and Andersen Consulting (Accenture).
Orbitz Worldwide is a global online travel company that uses technology to enable leisure and business travelers to research, plan and book a broad range of travel products. Orbitz Worldwide owns a portfolio of consumer brands that includes Orbitz, CheapTickets, ebookers, HotelClub, RatesToGo, the Away Network and corporate travel brand Orbitz for Business.
